CASE STUDY: Turtle Beach


Program Overview


Turtle Beach, the largest gaming headset manufacturer in the world, approached REV/XP in the middle of 2016 to expand its footprint in esports as it prepared to launch the new Elite Pro tournament headset. The conversation surrounding Turtle Beach was centered on affordability and nostalgia – Turtle Beach headsets were the “starter” headsets – not a tool for true competitive players.

Sponsoring the top two teams in the Call of Duty scene gave Turtle Beach legitimacy, but they needed to validate the claims their influencers were making. To do that, we put the headsets in the hands of consumers at top-tier tournaments throughout the country and ran multiple Turtle Beach commercials throughout the esports digital landscape. Through these dynamic activations, Turtle Beach was able to change the conversation from being a bargain for beginners to aspiration and quality.
